The SnapTAIN SP510 Foldable GPS is a stand alone GPS for the car. It connects to your car's built in GPS and the major car navigation system, including Voodoo navigation.
These useful features include: GPS position tracking, satellite tracking, voice guidance, voice alerts, GSM/GPRS (data, text and voice) connectivity, and more. Additionally, you can connect to a Web server from the unit.
This doesn't mean that you can't connect to any website you want, of course. You'll still be able to use all of the great navigational features of the SnapTAIN SP510 Foldable GPS. For example, you can open Google Maps or MapQuest maps right on the unit, as well as place points that will lead you to points of interest that have come to mind on the fly.
You'll also have enough room for all of your maps, charts, directions, receipts, and so forth, as well as your phone. When it comes time to put it away, simply turn the clock counter clockwise, so that the screen goes up and tucks into a corner of the GPS screen.
The SnapTAIN SP510 has a touch screen for easy operation, with a backlight, digital compass, barometer, thermometer, thermistor, altimeter, magnetic indicator, magnetic declination, altimeter band indicator, magnetic indicator, alarm, e-alert, voice alerts, iHeartRADIO, and more. When you connect to a Web server, you can access any web page right from the unit.
Pouch is extremely handy when it comes to travel. It holds one-half of a cup of water, one pair of sunglasses, a few items, and other necessities, such as a calculator, money clip, and a Bluetooth headset.
The gadget works with most Sony PSP Goes consoles. If you don't own either of these, then this gadget isn't a good fit for you.
Many people say that a small device with pocket space is too lightweight for them. However, if you're like me, and are like the millions of other users of handheld devices, then this gadget is exactly what you've been looking for.
It fits perfectly in your car's glove compartment. You can actually even hold it in your shirt pocket, which I find to be far more convenient than having to put it in a briefcase or backpack.
The unit will fit any square footage that has a hole large enough for the GPS to fit into. It uses a three-pin connector, which allows it to plug directly into your vehicle's factory GPS.
Furthermore, you can connect two-way radios such as cell phones and Bluetooth headsets. If you use two different phones, you will both receive voice directions, too.
This gadget doesn't do anything to hinder you from using your existing system, but it does give you another option. Using the 2.4 GHz wireless radio that is built into your car's factory GPS, you can already go out and enjoy a trip.
